About the Author Jeff Goin soloed his first aircraft, a glider, 2 years before he could legally drive. Aviation then became his passion and vocation, eventually landing him in the left seat of a 737. Flying light airplanes and helicopters was his main form of fun flight until discovering powered paragliding. That changed everything. It unleashed an exuberance for flight like no other form had. Besides delving deep into paramotoring, he founded the U.S. Powered Paragliding Association and served in other capacities to help insure the sport's continued success. He writes regularly for the industry leading UltraFlight Magazine and has contributed to several other ultralight-related publications.
