I have been using this book for a few months now for my class and it is definitely a nice book for learning the content. If you are looking for a easy to read book that will teach you everything you need to know than this is the right book for you.
The book was for a class on Cultural Geography. A bit expensive but....I didn't resell because it is one I will peruse and reference over and over. It looks at the subject through migration patterns, folk and popular culture, languages, religion and physical geography and how all are related. Although an excellent book for a class, it is also one world travelers would gain a lot of understanding from.
Ordered the 10th edition of this book receive the eighth edition. Does not help my son in his class at all. Sending it back hopefully will get the right book this time. What a pain.
The book arrived as expected. However, the book has tears on all corners of the cover, the content inside has highlights, a stain on the front cover, and a bent on the bottom part of the binding. Overall, it's functional. Thank you.
I know this is a rental but it looks like it has been walked on, and dropped kicked! Surprised that a rental would look like this...disappointed!
The chapters are all clearly written to stay in page allowances / fill pages. Like every chapter section fits cleanly and exactly in a spread, which feels very forced in the writing. It's a disaster to try to understand and also weirdly doesn't acknowledge colonization nearly enough.
